Further strengthening the musical link between New York City and Singapore, Darker Than Wax is proud to welcome Brooklyn mainstay Eamon Harkin to our sonic universe. Through his long time partnership with Justin Carter, Eamon has been at the forefront of dance music for over a decade via his club night and label Mister Saturday Night, groundbreaking day party Mister Sunday, as well as running Nowadays, one of the most forward thinking clubs globally. The Irish DJ/producer graces our label for the first time with Noetic, a four-track meditation on the lifelong search for a deep personal connection through spiritual practice.

Weaving together elements of house, acid, machine workouts, and ambient, the four cuts that make up Noetic conjure images of an ethereal dancefloor. First track ‘Surrender’ is a bright, chord-driven roller with a low slung beat, while title track ‘Noetic’ takes things deeper with a rolling, heady take on acid house. Eschewing the minimalism of the previous track, ‘Go Lightly’ provides a euphoric dancefloor moment through its off-kilter percussion, elastic bassline, and raw synth sounds. Rounding out the EP is ‘Ask A Beautiful Question’, an aptly-titled beatless ambient exploration.
