Storytelling is the name of number thirteen on Funnuvojere Records. It comes from Eamon Harkin, the Brooklyn-based Irish producer, DJ and label owner, known for founding long standing New York parties Mister Saturday Night & Mister Sunday. These parties have given birth to Nowadays, a permanent club space fast becoming a renowned New York institution. Harkin’s Mister Saturday Night Records has been a guarantee of quality music over the past decade and his productions have appeared on respected labels all over the world.

On Massimiliano Pagliara's label, Harkin's Storytelling EP is a four-track exploration of sonic sensations, marked by a minimalistic approach and a maximalist sound design. A bold bass line, distorted industrial pads and bouncy synths are the materials with which the opening track Reactance is built - a classic banger for sweaty late night dance floors. Multiple string sequences jostle effortlessly in Dolphins, a Detroit-inspired track that has us floating in oceans deep.

Lead single Enchantment is an 8 bit experimentation of house music with electro - euphoric, direct and beautifully harmonious. Title track Storytelling resounds as a polyrhythmic funk track, tinged with romantic melodies and alien pads. It closes this EP, elegantly highlighting the breadth and subtlety of Harkin’s musical knowledge and production skills.
